Solheim is owned by Dag and Synne Grundel, a couple whose backgrounds shape the character of the villa. Dag has spent extended periods living and traveling in warmer regions of the world, bringing a relaxed vibe that complements the rugged Arctic setting. Synne, a local architect with experience abroad, led the renovation with a focus on preserving the historic structure while creating a light-filled, modern home. Together, they have created a space that blends diverse influences with northern traditions. Passionate about mountaineering, food, and local culture, they enjoy sharing trails, adventures, recipes, viewpoints and stories that help guests experience Lofoten in a personal and memorable way.
